Secret Santa & Look Back in Mufti!

22 January 2014

Secret Santa

For Christmas 2013 one of our staff members, Dave West, came up with the idea of foregoing the usual “Secret Santa” format in favour of one that would benefit a local charity: instead of choosing a present for another staff member, everyone was encouraged to buy a gift suitable for a child. Donations were duly collected for the Eagle Radio Christmas Toy Appeal for under-privileged children, with 3 boxes of toys delivered in person by Jane Gibson and Suzanne Waring direct to the Eagle radio station in Guildford.

Everyone agreed that this was a great idea and an activity that we will be repeating in 2014!

Look Back in Mufti!

We are pleased to announce that £1,240.00 was raised for WaterAid, our chosen charity, during 2013. This was achieved solely by having an office “Mufti” day every week. Organiser-in-Chief, Colin Webb, commented, “Every Friday, the office staff can pay a minimum contribution of £1.00 to come to the office in smart/casual dress. Most people pay more than the minimum and even those who have official appointments and do not wear casual clothing often contribute”. A big thank you goes out for all the generous contributions over the past year.
