COVID-19 has plunged the country into crisis and while everyone is aware of the health and safety issues relating to the country's population, it is also important to consider the knock-on effect it is having on the water systems in buildings being shut down temporarily. We have, therefore, compiled this guide for the Dutyholder which incorporates advice form the Government and other regulatory bodies about what should be done to minimise the proliferation of legionella, pseudomonas and other bacteria in water systems.

Legionellosis is a bacterial disease affecting the respiratory system, so it is essential that stringent water hygiene is maintained to ensure the current problem is not compounded.
