Innovative, sustainable, unique and independently validated for BS EN 14897 compliance, Goodwater’s Tucana range of UV disinfection units are the UK’s market leading product for UV treatment.
BS EN 14897 is a rigorous test protocol to demonstrate that UV disinfection units are safe to use and provide the treatment levels claimed. The Tucana range is alone in having this testing carried out and validated by an independent body (https://www.tno.nl/en/) providing it with the very highest level of compliance.
The unique flow modification plate fitted to the entire range controls the flow of water to guarantee that all water passing through a unit will receive a minimum UV dose. Without this flow plate, only an average UV dose can be provided which results in up to 50% of the water not receiving sufficient UV treatment to kill legionella and other harmful bacteria.
The range is also classified as carbon neutral, with the carbon footprint (as per CIBSE TM65 calculations) of each unit offset using validated projects. The range is also 99% recycled and recyclable, minimising its impact on the earth.
