Carbon Neutrality Update

We are pleased to announce that the information and data gathering for our 2022 carbon footprint has been successfully completed as of today. The next crucial step is for Auditel (our Carbon partner) to finalise the carbon calculations and prepare the report for their internal verifier to conduct the internal verification audit which should be concluded by the end of June.

Looking ahead, we are scheduled to meet with Auditel in July 2023 to review the baseline Carbon Footprint Report and discuss the Carbon Reduction Plan. It is worth noting that the Carbon Reduction Plan is a requirement for external verification under PAS 2060.

Based on these developments, we anticipate initiating the external verification request at the beginning of July 2023 (once the internal verification is complete). Our aim is to have the external audit completed in September 2023, with the goal of achieving certification to confirm Goodwater’s PAS 2060 accreditation.

PAS 2060

As a reminder PAS 2060 outlines the criteria and guidelines for organisations to measure, reduce, and offset their carbon emissions in a transparent and credible manner. It sets standards for calculating and verifying carbon footprints, as well as requirements for developing and implementing carbon reduction plans.

By adhering to PAS 2060, organisations can showcase their commitment to environmental sustainability by achieving carbon neutrality. This certification is often sought by organisations as a means to demonstrate their efforts in mitigating climate change and reducing their carbon footprint.

We are making excellent progress and shall post again soon to keep everyone informed!
